It has been pointed out to me that the birth of our newest son had yet to be chronicled here in the pages of Ferkin Family News so I decided I should rectify this.
Cole was born early in May and is now more than 2 months old. Paige’s water broke at 1:30am the morning of his birth. We did a better job than with Parker and wasted no time getting to the hospital, getting there by 2am. Parker was born about 45 minutes after we had arrived at the hospital. We decided that was getting too close for comfort.
Cole was born just after 4 in the morning, weighing in at 6lbs, 13oz, with a length of 19½in.
Cole has been a good baby, he cries very little (when hungry) and his cry is pretty tolerable. He has been a good eater and nurses pretty much every 2 hours. That has spaced out a little as he has gotten a little older.
He now sleeps over night about 6 hours, from 1am to 7am.
Just this last week he has begun to smile. Which makes all of his older siblings who dote on him happy.
Cole was officially weighed in at the pediatrician’s office last week at his 2 month check-up. He now weighs 12lbs and is 23 inches long.
I named and blessed Cole at church last Sunday and then we had family over for lunch.
We think Cole looks very much like his brother Noah at the same age. In fact here are pictures of the two. Can you tell which one is which?
