Pier Pressure

This past Monday we drove down Beach Blvd to Huntington Beach to soak up some rays on the pier.  We have had some gorgeous weather here since it stopped raining.  It has been in the 80s since the weekend.

I guess we weren’t the only ones with the idea to go to the beach on Presidents’ Day because there were plenty of people.  There were even tons of people actually on the beach and a few in the water.  Not bad, California, for February.

The surf had been pretty big.  I heard on the radio in the morning that it would be 8-10′ until the afternoon.  It looked like it was hitting maybe 5 foot while we were there.  I snapped some pictures (as you will see below) of a few surfers from the pier’s vantage point.

We had a good time but I think next time we will drive down a little further and avoid such a big crowd.  Maybe Crystal Cove or Corona Del Mar.
