We didn’t get there until after Christmas but we did make it to see the lights at the Los Angeles Temple. We use to make a trip to the temple prior to Christmas to hear beautiful Christmas music in the Visitors Center. The Visitors Center, though, has been out of commission while it is being renovated. By the way, Wow!, is it taking a long time or what?
The temple president even joked about it in our last stake conference. He told us that it would be “reopened by Christmas…2010.” It got a pretty good laugh.
We circumambulated the temple all dressed up in our winter garb; hats, scarves, gloves. Even Parker was wearing gloves he was given for Christmas. You can tell we are Californians because when we drove home our car’s thermometer registered a not very cold 54°F.
