The day after Thanksgiving the Ferkin Family headed over to Ralph B. Clark Park for some recreation. There was something for just about everyone. The kiddies played on the playgrounds and nearby was a horseshoe pit.
I had seen the horseshoe pit on a previous trip to the park so we were ready with the shoes. Field and I teamed up first and held the pit for 4 games until Grandpa Joe and Fawn(!) beat us. Field had the single best toss of the afternoon landing a double ringer to win our first game. Dad had the best game of the afternoon when paired with Fawn. He wiped us out by tossing 3 ringer and a point throws in the same game.
